Barack Obama's Flag Pin; On, Off, On, Off

If I could win the election by never wearing a flag pin I would do it, and if I could win the election by wearing it all of the time I would do it; and if I could win the election by wearing it some of the time I would also do that... He is like Lincoln.

Obama said about wearing a flag pin; "that became a substitute for I think true patriotism". So in essence Obama was saying that any one wearing a flag pin was not a true patriot. How does wearing a flag pin take your true patriotism away?

He seems unsure of how he wants to present himself to the American people. I think he needs to present himself truthfully. If he does this, then no one will be able to point out inconsistencies in his character, which is not attractive to the average voter.

Quite awhile back when he was at a campaign event with his Democratic opponents, they were all on stage while the National Anthem was being played. Out of the eight candidates, he was the only one that didn't place his hand over his heart. A lot of voters will have a problem with that, but even more will have a problem if he starts putting his hand over his heart in the future and appears to be pandering to the voters.

Will the real Obama please stand up? I think that’s all the voters really want in a candidate. They just want to know if the person they’re voting for, is the person they’re going to get.

What makes a person 100% American? Is it that you were born here, yes that would make you an American, but would it make you 100% American? What if you were naturalized and given citizenship, would that make you 100% American? Who knows? All that I know is that if you are one of these two things and you say that you are 100% American, then that's good enough for me.

On the other hand if you go around saying that you are an Irish-American, Mexican-American, African-American, Chinese-American, Latino-American or any other kind of hyphenated American, then in my eye's you're not 100% American.

Someone on YouTube, from the United States, had a picture of themselves in a t shirt that read; 100% Latino. I posted a comment that said; I am 100% American. She then posted a comment on my channel that said; You are a Racist!!! Of course I deleted the comment, and then I emailed her stating that if anyone was a Racist it was her. I said that my comment was just stating that I was 100% American, It didn't indicate my race or even mention race. I then told her how divisive a shirt like that is. I said that if I were to wear a shirt that said, 100% White, I would defiantly be called a racist and in some neighborhoods I would be lucky to get out alive. She never emailed me back, so I assumed that she must have agreed with me.

If we are to survive as a Nation, then we must all come together as Americans, just Americans. Stop trying to divide us, we need to be one.
